Treatment In Shelters

Treatment in Shelters - Community Support Services Substance Use Services Division provides Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Treatment (SAIOP) services within the Men’s and Women’s shelters of Mecklenburg County. Treatment services are facilitated a minimum of 3 days per week for 3 hours a day. Treatment services include individual and group counseling, psychoeducation on drugs and alcohol, and aftercare services. Treatment services are facilitated using Best Practice Models such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Seeking Safety.
