Stacy M. Lowry, Director

Stacy M. Lowry is the director of Community Support Services, one of four departments that make up the Mecklenburg County Health and Human Services Agency. She is responsible for leading a department of diversified human and community services, including veterans services, domestic violence, substance use, and homeless and housing services. Accountabilities include financial management, monitoring and oversight of service delivery, community collaboration, advocacy and improving access to services, and building community partnerships. 

She joined the County in 1998 as a senior social worker. Stacy was promoted to interim director in 2004 and became department director in 2006. Prior to joining the County, Stacy served as an adjunct lecturer at UNC Charlotte and a clinical social worker at A Way for Children in Charlotte. 

Stacy holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University. She is a licensed clinical social worker.
