Treatment In Detention Center

The Substance Use Treatment program facilitated within Detention Central is a collaborative partnership between the Community Support Services Department and the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. The Day Treatment program provides inmates an opportunity to participate in group and individual sessions where substance abuse issues are addressed and can last up to 42 days. The program uses a combination of Best Practice Models such as Motivational Interview, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, Integrated Dual Diagnosis Therapy, and specific programs that change criminal thinking.
