Housing First Charlotte-Mecklenburg Partnership

Housing First Charlotte-Mecklenburg Partnership, or HFCM, is a collaboration between Mecklenburg County, Roof Above and Inlivian (formerly Charlotte Housing Authority) to help end homelessness in Charlotte. HFCM seeks to provide affordable homes and accompanying support services for 120 homeless individuals. This program has a community mandate to prioritize individuals and families who are highly vulnerable and chronically homeless, as defined by HUD and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Continuum of Care (CoC). Specifically, verification is required that they have been in the streets or shelters for over 12 months (4 times in the last 3 years, or consecutively) and have a qualifying disability.
